Dream features the incomparable vocals of "YES" legend, Jon Anderson. This was the first time Kitaro employed lyrical singing on a recording (except for record track 11, Caravan, on Noah's Ark). For this reason and for the sheer quality of the music, Dream also received a Grammy Nomination and has become one of the best selling Kitaro releases of recent years. Original release by Geffen Records in 1992 and re-released by Domo Records in 1998.
Kitaro masterfully conceived and performed the music for Kojiki based on this famous Japanese ancient chronicle of the creation of Japan (Yamato). The music was originally released by Amuse America as a German import in 1990 and was nominated for a Grammy that same year. This album was digitally re-mastered in 1996. In July 2003, this classic was re-mastered as a Super Audio CD to provide the ultimate sound when played on an SACD player or normal sound on a CD player.
The album, or video, features Kitaro's signature sound of the Musician's Magician, along with the string section from the Skywalker Symphony, the score to this thematic backdrop is full of passion, beauty and drama. The album includes a three-page synopsis of this famous Japanese myth.
This 1990 world tour concert was accompanied by a beautiful 36 page book printed on premium paper depicting copies of old Japanese prints of this famous myth. This tour book has been printed in both Japanese and English.

Oasis was Kitaro's debut album showing his musical genius, produced in 1976. Little could Kitaro have known Oasis would mark the beginning of a career that would span decades. Kitaro was around 23 years old at this time.
Three years later Japanese television (NHK) was about to embark upon their production of a five-year mini series titled Silk Road. For the soundtrack, NHK was considering ten other musicians at that time but commissioned Kitaro based on the music from his album "Oasis".
To NHK, Kitaro's music was "mind music" and would fit the theme of the ancients traveling the Silk Road. Furthermore, Mr. Koizum said Kitaro was a natural on the power of the analog synthesizer using the most complicated technique but with the most fundamental beauty in music. Mr. Matsumoto stated Kitaro's music is a natural flow of nature and matches his oriental bloodline. "Before one is born, this is the sound one hears", said Mr. Naja Oka.
